Through this guided journey, participants actively enhance their data science expertise, applying key skills and concepts by immersing themselves in the art and science of data storytelling. Fundamentals: Individual Dunker

An engaging introduction to data science and coding through basketball. Students collect and analyze their own data and create projects to visualize their findings. Teachers have the flexibility to guide students through the content of the two immersive half-day sessions whenever it fits their schedule.

Fundamentals: High-Priority School Support

An engaging introduction to data science and coding through basketball. Students collect and analyze their own data and create projects to visualize their findings. For high-priority schools, our team co-teaches sessions and provides additional support for planning and classroom activities.

Scrimmage: Afterschool Program

The Scrimmage model is a structured 8-10 week afterschool program that deepens students’ understanding of data science through collaborative, project-based learning. Teachers can use Data Dunkers resources to guide students as they work together to develop group projects.

Full Court Press: Embedded in the Classroom

The Full Court Press model embeds Data Dunkers into an existing course, allowing students to engage with data science concepts over an extended period. With the support of a 1:1 virtual coach, teachers integrate data science projects directly into their curriculum, creating opportunities for students to develop personalized projects that align with their academic interests and goals.
